Part 5 of 5
“She said to the king, ‘The report I heard in my own country about your achievements and your wisdom is true. But I did not believe these things until I came and saw with my own eyes. Indeed, not even half was told me; in wisdom and wealth you have far exceeded the report I heard.’ ” 1 King 10:6-7 (NIV)
The final quality that will distinguish the kings that are coming is wealth. Have you ever seen a poor king? I’ve never seen one! Part of the kingly anointing is the ability to attract money!
Nothing makes the devil more nervous than when preachers talk about money! Why? Because the devil knows that money is the only serious competition for complete devotion to God. “How can you serve God and money?” Jesus said, “You’re either going to love one or hate the other.” Money is either going to master you, or you’re going to master it. There’s no middle ground.
We give a portion of our life for money. The devil knows this. That’s why he hates the message of giving and receiving in the Bible! He likes to use the lack of money to dominate and control the people of God! Regardless of the enemy’s attempts to hinder this aspect of the gospel message, the kings that are coming are going to be people of great wealth.
Call In What You Need!
In 1997, I was in my church’s sanctuary in Ashville, North Carolina, praying about several big financial needs when the Spirit of God spoke to me unexpectedly and said, “I want you to begin calling in money; I want you to start calling in one time gifts.” I had never heard anyone preach this before. He said, “I want you to start calling in one time gifts of $5000, $10,000, $50,000, $100,000, $500,000 and even millions.”
God told me that this was how He was going to meet my needs; I was to start calling in money—one time gifts, in specific amounts. I obeyed and money started coming—$5,000, $10,000, $25,000… praise God, my needs were met!
Persecution Comes For The Words’ Sake!
When I began sharing what God was doing for me in several of the churches I had planted, the backlash came! Persecution and affliction arises for the sake of the Word (Mark 4:17). It comes to choke God’s prophetic Word out of you. If the devil can beat you up and hurt you bad enough, he believes he can get you to back off from preaching the truth. Someone once said, “If you hit an old hog in the head with a club every time he goes to the trough to get a drink, he’ll quit coming after awhile.”
When you start preaching a prophetic word that’s going to liberate the Church and set the people of God free, persecution and affliction will come! The devil will try to make you suffer serious pain in order to get you to back off. The kind of pain he wants to give you is emotional pain or grief. How does grief come to a preacher? Through people!
“Obey your leaders, and submit to them that guide you for they keep watch over your souls, as those who will give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with grief, for this would be unprofitable for you.” Hebrews 13:17
Preachers sometimes get grief from people. It comes to them when they preach the truth and certain individuals who don’t like it suddenly become difficult to lead. This is a type of persecution for the Word’s sake. Jesus certainly received a lot of grief from people for preaching the truth—it cost Him His life!
King’s Aren’t On Welfare!
Settle it right now, they’ll be no poor kings when Jesus comes back. We’ve got to have a paradigm shift; we’ve got to get our minds renewed to the Word of God. Have you ever seen a king on welfare? No! A king is wealthy. A king is rich!
Many of God’s people struggle with the thought of being rich. They struggle because they haven’t been taught to think correctly. They’ve been taught, “If you’re poor, God likes you better because that’s how He makes you humble. Money is evil! Don’t let it poison your soul!” The Bible doesn’t teach these things— religious folks do! The Bible says, “the love of money is the root of all evil,” not money itself! (1 Timothy 3:6) When it comes to money, most Christians stray from the faith because of their own greed or because of their love for the things of this world (Jude 1:11; 2 Timothy 4:10). We have to look at wealth as a simple tool—it contains no moral or immoral attributes. When money is in the hands of the righteous, it expands the kingdom of God, when it’s in the hands of the wicked, it expands the kingdom of darkness. Money takes on the moral or immoral nature of those who possess it.
Money Rules In The Natural Realm
“The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is the servant of the lender.” Proverbs 22:7
Money rules in the natural realm. This is why the devil wants to keep the Church poor. He wants the ungodly to control the money so they can rule over the Church. This truth should be as plain to see as the nose on your face. If the world has all the money then they will always have the last say.
There is no greater power in the natural world than money and the Church needs to understand this. Jesus taught more about money than He taught about going to heaven. Money rules on the earth. Ask those who run the world bank, they control wars. You can’t fight a war unless you have money, and nowadays, you can’t have the kind of money it takes to win a war unless the world bank is willing to give it to you. If they like your war, they’ll fund it. They control the world with currency!
The Coming Wealth Of God’s End-Time Kings
I attended a conference on biblical wealth management in Darrow, Louisiana. As I sat there listening to the featured ministers teach from the word of God, I began receiving supernatural insight into the financial side of the kingly anointing. I watched in amazement as the Holy Spirit began to move in their midst. As these ministers spoke, money began flowing towards the pulpit like a river! People would just walk up in the middle of their sermon and hand these speakers money! I’m not talking about one’s or five’s; I’m talking about thousands! They let people know that 100 percent of the money was to go directly into their ministries. They refused to take any portion of the offerings for themselves.
We Have To Learn How To Give And Receive
These preachers would stop right in the middle of their messages and start reading checks off! They’d say, “Oh, ten thousand dollars, I receive it. Thank you. Anyone else? Just come up here and don’t be hindered.” They had learned how to unashamedly receive.
The Bible says that we’re supposed to learn how to give and receive (Philippians 4:15-17). I knew these ministers had no problems giving money away and it became obvious to me that day that they didn’t have any problems receiving it either. It’s the “kingly” anointing on their lives that attracts the wealth to them and they are always careful to give God all the glory for it!
There were only 1200 people in the conference I attended, yet there must have been over $100,000 given in one service alone! You’d have to brush the money aside to see the preacher! Now that’s God’s supernatural blessing at work!
Wise Men Bring Money To Kings!
As I sat in this conference watching this phenomenon take place, I thought, “What is working for these guys that isn’t working for me? What can I learn here?” All of a sudden, God began to speak to me. He said, “Wise men bring money to kings.” In Matthew 2:1-2, we find the story of the three wise men who brought gifts and money to the “King of the Jews.” As this scripture reference came up in my spirit, God spoke to me again, “What you’re seeing is a part of the ‘kingly’ anointing I’m restoring to the Church. Wise men will recognize this anointing—they will bring gifts and money to this anointing and they will invest in it.”
The Lesser is Blessed by the Greater
“Without any dispute the lesser is blessed by the greater.” Hebrews 7:7 (NAS)
There’s a principle here; you have to sow into something greater than yourself in order to receive the increase of God. If all your money is given to the poor, the Lord only promises to repay you (Proverbs 19:17). God doesn’t say anything about increasing your finances when you give to the poor. He only says He will pay you back. You’ve got to put your money into something greater than yourself in order to receive God’s financial increase!
First of all, you should give to the poor, as well as give tithes and offerings to your local church and to your pastor. However, there are “kingly” anointings coming into the church that you should sow into as well. I fully intend to see money placed on my platform when I’m preaching because of the manifestation of the “kingly” anointing. I fully intend to see it, because I’m buying that “oil” now.
Don’t Miss Your Opportunity!
During the conference, one of the ministers preached on the parable of the ten virgins. The five wise virgins brought some extra oil with them as they went out to meet the bridegroom. The five foolish virgins had money but they wouldn’t spend it. They wouldn’t invest in any “oil” so they missed out on their opportunity. When the five foolish virgins left to finally buy themselves some oil, they came back and found that the door to the wedding banquet was closed and they couldn’t get in (Matthew 25:1-12).
I’m telling you now, certain doors of opportunity are going to be shut in the days ahead! When there are doors of opportunity for us to “buy some oil”—when there are certain anointings for us to sow into that will bring us a great return—we need to invest quickly, while the doors are still open. Once those doors are shut my friends, there’s no way in!
There are some powerful anointings in the Church today that we can invest in—now is the time to do it! If we want to see the increase of God come upon our lives and ministries, we’ve got to get a hold of this truth and begin investing in something greater than ourselves!
God Told Me I “Bought The Oil!”
By the end of the conference, I was running low on cash. I had already sown a $2,500 check and then another $500 check, but as one of the ministers was preaching, I said to myself: “Man, I’ve got to get some more of that oil!” So I walked up to the front as the man of God was speaking and I took what I had left in my pocket—about eighty bucks—and I threw it on the altar. At that very moment, the Spirit of God spoke to me again and said, “You just bought the oil!”
Go After The Blessing!
You see saints, I don’t just want a return on my investment, I want that blessing. I want to purchase that anointing “oil” that makes it all happen! I’m after the root and not just the fruit! I know God will bless us for sowing, and we will reap a harvest on our giving, but it’s the kingly anointing that I’m after. That’s the “oil” God wants to give to every one of His people—including you!
Three Ways To Keep The Wealth Flowing
After sowing everything I had during this conference, I went back to my seat and said, “All right Lord, I’ve sowed, I’ve had hands laid on me and I’ve been blessed. Now I believe I receive this part of the kingly anointing by faith.”
Everything in the kingdom of God is received by faith. The apostle Paul tells us that God supplies what we ask for when He “hears” our faith. In Galatians 3:5 Paul asks, “Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?” When we hear God’s Word, believe it, and then speak our faith-filled confession of what He has said, God moves on our behalf.
As I was sitting there, I continued praying to God. “Okay Lord, now that I have received Your blessing by faith, how do I keep this anointing working in my life? How do I cause it to continue to grow and blossom in my life and ministry so that money and wealth is flowing to me on a consistent basis?”
I can almost hear your saying, “But Dr. Polis, are you saying that you want to attract wealth and riches for your own personal benefit?” Of course! Kings are personally wealthy! They have no lack and they are able to give to righteous causes because they have abundant wealth. Even the President of our United States, after he’s served as President, will never be poor another day in his life! He’ll have at least $200,000 a year for pocket change! He’ll never have to ask for anything again! How much more should this be true for God’s spiritual kings!
Three Keys to Keep Your Finances Growing
As I was praying, revelation and understanding began to come to me from the Holy Spirit. (You know you have received a spiritual impartation from God when revelation and understanding begins to come to you.) God showed me three keys that will keep the kingly anointing flowing in my finances. He said: “John, the first thing you have to do is sow into it.”
KEY 1. SOW INTO IT
If you want to keep that anointing flowing, if you want to keep that anointing growing and increasing in your life, you have to sow into it on a continual basis. Like the wise men in the book of Matthew, and like the five wise virgins who bought the oil, you have to put your money into the ministries of those who carry the kingly anointing. You have to recognize doors of opportunity when they are open to you and sow financial gifts into the kingly anointing while the door is still open.
KEY 2. SOAK IN IT
The second thing God said to me was, “You have to soak in it.” That means you need to invest in the tapes, videos and books of those who are walking in the kingly anointing and “soak” in the revelation they carry.
When God is trying to emphasize a truth or topic in your life, stay on it. Learn it! Let God pound the nail all the way through the board! Then, let God turn the board over and pound the nail securely down on the other side so that truth can never shake loose!
Get the full understanding of what God is trying to teach you and allow it to be solidly established in your heart. Go after that truth or topic and stay with it until you get it! Buy every anointed book, tape, or video you can find on the subject and soak in it!
KEY 3. SAY IT
The third thing God said to me was, “You have to say it.” Say, “Money comes to me! I am debt free! I have supernatural debt reduction in my life now! Special miracles are mine now! Millions of dollars come to me now!”
Say these things loud and bold and keep on saying them! These are three simple keys that you can apply to your life at any time and in any place. God is not hard to understand. He doesn’t make truth hard for us to grasp, He makes it simple!
God is trying to get money into the hands of His people! He’s going to give it to those who have godly character and to those who have His supernatural wisdom. He’s going to give it to those who are operating in the power of God and destroying the works of the devil! He’s going to give wealth to those who have kingly characteristics so they can finish the colossal task of taking the gospel message into every nation before Jesus returns. My dear brothers and sisters, I want you to move into God’s anointing beyond your ankles and beyond your knees! The prophets are here and the priests are here, but where are the kings? They’re coming! Hallelujah! I can hear them marching even now—can you?
