Our bodies are the “temples of Holy Spirit”, purchased by the blood of Christ and are the property of God. God is not careless about His possessions and has come to dwell in us so that He can take care of what belongs to Him. 1 CORINTHIANS 6:19-20 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? 20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.
With that thought in mind, I want to share five proofs that God Wants You Well!
1. The Father Promised Healing
EXODUS 23:25-26 “So you shall serve the Lord your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you. No one shall suffer miscarriage or be barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days.
When Israel came out of Egypt, God made a “covenant of healing and health” with them based upon the condition of their serving Him alone.
2. Jesus Provided Healing
ISAIAH 53:4-6 Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned, every one, to his own way; and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
MATTHEW 8:16-17 When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: “He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses.”
Jesus ministered healing during His earthly ministry to fulfill the prophetic promise of Isaiah. When He took our place in His substitutionary work at Calvary, He freed us from “sin and all of it’s consequences” which includes all sickness and disease. 1 PETER 2:24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.
3. The Church Preached Healing
MARK 16:15-17 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;
MATTHEW 10:1 And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease.
Christ commissioned the Church to continue all His works and even the greater works of
New Birth and Baptism of Holy Spirit. JOHN 14:12-14 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.
4. Holy Spirit Produces Healing
ACTS 10:38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.
1 CORINTHIANS 12:9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit,
Jesus healed through the power of Holy Spirit and promised believers the same power when Holy Spirit was upon them. ACTS 1:8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
To be a witness means to “produce proof.” We are “proof producers” through the power of God flowing through us.
5. Faith Partakes of Healing
MARK 5:34 And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.”
Faith is the “hand” that takes what God has provided. MARK 11:24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
The word “receive” in this verse is “lambano” and literally means “take by force.” So when we pray, “we take what is freely offered” and declare that “we have it” regardless of seeing or feeling a difference. The Ten Lepers in LUKE 17:11-19 prove that faith produces the miracle by taking Jesus at His Word and acting on it “before seeing a change in their condition.” He told them “Go show yourself to the priest…..as they went, they saw they were healed.” They “went first and the healing progressively resulted until it was visible to physical sight.” This is how faith works.
God Wants You Well, “take it, it’s yours”!
